Gary joined commercebuild in April 2019 as Chief Executive Officer. He has over 25 years of experience in executive leadership in both corporate and operational roles. From 2006 to 2014, Gary served as CEO and co-CEO of Peer 1 Hosting, a TSX-listed Vancouver-based internet infrastructure provider. With his business partner Fabio Banducci, Gary repositioned the company strategically upmarket, restructured the organization, expanded its operations both domestically and globally and grew the organization to 570 employees while delivering best in class operating metrics. During his tenure, annualized revenues grew to $200 million and in January 2013, Peer 1 was acquired by Cogeco Cable for $650 million.
Prior to joining Peer 1, Gary was Vice President, Business Development and Controller at BC Hydro where he led a number of transformative initiatives including implementation of a comprehensive risk management framework and negotiated several strategic partnerships. He began his career with Deloitte.
Gary holds CPA, CA and CMA designations and graduated with distinction from the University of Regina with a Bachelor of Administration.
Jay joined commercebuild in July 2019 as President to lead global go-to-market. He has over 25 years of executive experience building and leading high performance sales teams. Most recently Jay was CEO of Pressable, a global WordPress managed hosting and eCommerce platform for agencies and Fortune 1000 companies. Prior to Pressable, Jay held senior executive roles with Main Street Pilot and Hostway Services. In 2010 Jay joined Peer 1 Hosting where he was responsible for the direction and management of all sales activities, including forecasting and delivery of all direct inbound and outbound sales worldwide for the company. Prior to Peer 1, he co-founded the Digital Recognition Network and held management roles with EMC Corp. and Rackspace.
Jay is based in Austin, Texas and is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology.
As CTO, Blair is focused on developing eCommerce solutions that allow our clients to maximize the potential of the digital world.
Over his 20 year career, he has specialized in connecting systems specifically enterprise logistics and warehousing, business to business distribution, and retail systems. Blair has connected systems for large corporate companies including McDonalds, Nestle, Pfizer, Coke, Mercedes Benz, Mobile, BP, and Reckitt Benckiser.
Blair holds a computer science degree from the Auckland University of Technology.
As COO, Stephen is responsible for leading marketing, client delivery, global support and human resources.
Stephen joined commercebuild in 2017 to build and lead their marketing and product management practices. Prior to commercebuild, Stephen served as Vice President, Global Marketing at Absolute Software, a leading cyber security software vendor. His responsibilities included corporate communications, product marketing, channel and field marketing, demand generation, and all things digital. Prior to Absolute, Stephen was Senior Director, Global Web Marketing and Marketing Operations at business intelligence vendor Business Objects. In this role, he led the company’s global online marketing efforts, was responsible for marketing operations and represented Marketing in the company’s merger & acquisition initiatives.
Stephen holds degrees from University of British Columbia and the British Columbia Institute of Technology. He is also a graduate of UBC’s executive leadership program and is a past lecturer at UBC on digital marketing best practices. He is a youth soccer coach, helping kids enjoy the "beautiful game" while converting them into Liverpool FC fans.
Paul brings a wealth of business experience gained from almost 30 years involved with Sage ERP. His first introduction to ERP systems was in the late 1980s, when UNIX and green-screen terminals ruled! Recognizing the potential that ERP systems held, Paul worked as a lead ERP Distribution Consultant in the UK between 1993 to 2001. In 1995, Paul was sub-contracted as IT System Manager to Winners, SA, in Paris, France. There, he was responsible for developing integrated IT systems in preparation for the acquisition of Winners by McQueen Group (now Sykes Global Services).
Prior to emigrating to Vancouver in 2008, Paul spent eight years building his own eCommerce software company, Intellisell, which provided market-leading eCommerce solutions for UK-based Sage customers. Upon arrival in Canada, he spent two years as a Sage 300 Sales and Account manager before joining commercebuild in 2010.
Paul lives in the beautiful city of Vancouver, enjoys the outdoor life and everything that the glorious province of BC has to offer. He is an active singing member, producer and committee member, of the Vancouver Men's Chorus.
As Vice President of Sales, Travis is responsible for executing the sales strategy for commercebuild focused on driving subscription revenue growth and client satisfaction. He has over 20 years of experience in sales, marketing, and product management with over 8 years at Sage where he most recently managed national partner accounts.
Travis is based out of the commercebuild Vancouver office and holds a Bachelor of Applied Science from Simon Fraser University and an MBA from the University of New Brunswick. He is an active leader as a coach/manager in youth soccer, baseball and hockey.
